Your first visit here at South Bay Dentistry will typically consist of a cleaning, an examination, and a review of your treatment options. If you accept treatment, we can begin with that treatment immediately. However, a complex medical history or treatment plan may require a further evaluation and a second appointment. We’ll make sure to accommodate your schedule.
To help your visit go as smoothly as possible, please come prepared with the following information:
- Preferred X-rays from previous dental practices
- A list of any or all medication that you’re presently prescribed and taking
- Your dental insurance information
- Patient forms filled out
Having this prepared and ready for your appointment will save you time and allow us to make your first visit the very best experience.
Comfort
We do our absolute best to provide a warm and welcoming environment. We have thoughtfully designed every aspect of the office with patient comfort in mind. We have a carefully appointed reception area with comfortable seating, interesting books, television and a coffee and beverage station. We bake warm cookies throughout the day. This serves the dual purpose of giving the office the smell of fresh baked goods but also provides a little treat for patients to take home.
We have heated massage chairs in our hygiene rooms so that you can feel extra pampered while you get your professional cleaning. All patient rooms have TV’s on the ceiling. Patients can choose what they would like to watch and single use headphones are available by request. We have soft blankets for those that want a little extra comfort and we always finish every treatment by offering a warm scented towel to “tidy up” before you resume your day.
